💔 My Story: Prayer in the Dark

I was just 25 years old, caught in the middle of an abusive marriage, feeling scared, helpless, and overwhelmed. My biggest fear was losing my children. I still remember the night I dropped to my knees in desperation and begged God, “Please don’t let him take my babies.”

At that time, we were forced to share custody. It didn’t feel fair. It didn’t feel like God was answering me. But I kept praying. I kept holding on.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18

Years passed. I prayed through the pain, through the silence, through the waiting. And then—when I least expected it—God answered. I was granted sole custody. That moment wasn’t just a legal win—it was a miracle and a reminder that God hears every single prayer, even when it feels like He’s quiet.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” – 1 John 5:14

🙌 The Power of Persistent Prayer

Prayer doesn’t always bring instant results. Sometimes it’s not about changing your situation—it’s about strengthening your spirit while the situation changes in God's time.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” – Romans 12:12

Prayer is a conversation with God. It’s not about perfect words or churchy phrases—it’s about honesty, trust, and faith. Through prayer, we receive wisdom, comfort, direction, peace, and miracles.

That season of my life planted something deep in my heart—a desire to pray for others the way I was prayed for. Now, every Friday, I send out a prayer chain email to those who want to be part of a community rooted in faith and intercession.

We lift up requests—healing, peace, family struggles, financial needs, gratitude, and more. We also celebrate victories and testimonies together.
