A Mother's Love: Imperfect, Sacred, and Strong

Happy Mother’s Day from Girl on Fire Fitness 💐

Motherhood isn’t easy. It’s beautiful and raw, joyful and exhausting, holy and heartbreakingly human all at once.

This Mother’s Day, I want to take a moment to honor all the women who have loved fiercely, sacrificed deeply, and shown up—even when it was hard.

💖 First, to my mom, Alexis

Thank you.

Thank you for every hug, every hard conversation, every prayer you whispered over me when I didn’t even know I needed it. You’ve taught me so much about love, resilience, and faith.

You’re not perfect, but you’re my mom. And that’s more than enough.

I love you endlessly.

💞 To my Aunt Noochie, my godmother, and my rock

You have been a constant source of love, strength, and grace in my life.

You’ve stepped in, supported me, prayed for me, and reminded me of my worth, especially when I couldn’t see it myself.

Thank you for always being there in my time of need. I am beyond blessed to call you my family and my spiritual anchor.

🌟 And to my boys, Michael (21) and Ryan (20)

You made me a mom.

You changed my life.

You’ve taught me more than any book or class ever could. Loving you has been the greatest gift and the most sacred responsibility God has ever given me.

Even on the hard days, I wouldn’t trade a moment of it. Thank you for letting me grow alongside you.

👑 And how can we not think of Mary, the mother of Jesus, this Mother’s Day?

She said yes to God’s plan even when it was terrifying.

She watched her Son suffer—and still stood by Him in love and faith.

Her obedience, her sacrifice, her strength—it all points us to the kind of motherly love that mirrors God’s own heart.

💞 The Bible is filled with stories of godly women who made sacrifices to love, protect, and serve:

  • Hannah, who gave her son Samuel back to God in obedience.

  • Naomi, who guided Ruth with wisdom and compassion.

  • Elizabeth, who carried John the Baptist in her old age and believed in the miracle.

  • Mary, who gave the world her son—and watched Him give everything for us.

So today, let’s celebrate all the moms:

✨ The ones raising babies,

✨ The ones with children in heaven,

✨ The spiritual moms guiding others in faith,

✨ The moms doing their best despite mistakes and imperfections.

Because at the end of the day, moms are human. We’re not perfect.

But we are persistent.

We are prayerful.

We are powerful.

And we are deeply loved by a God who sees every tear, every sacrifice, every act of love.

To all the moms out there—Happy Mother’s Day.

Keep showing up.

Keep trusting God.

You are doing better than you think. 💕

With love and gratitude,
